Treatment Modality

It is my belief that both harm and healing take place within the context of relationships. In the presence of harm and unresolved trauma, we are often left feeling stuck and powerless, both of which can create feelings of hopelessness. In light of this reality, I see therapy as a collaborative, holistic endeavor where we work together to understand your relational patterns and story, while also working to acknowledge, express, and overcome negative or contradictory feelings and repressed emotions. As we work together to reach your personal goals, I will strive to create a safe, supportive, and compassionate space where you feel empowered to create meaningful change, gain greater self-acceptance, learn new strategies for dealing with life’s challenges, and improve your relationships.

Appointment Logistics

• I charge $140 for 50-minute Individual Therapy sessions, $150 for Couples Counseling sessions, and $150 for Family Therapy sessions. During the intake process, Simple Practice will ask you to save a credit or debit card and then automatically charge it after a session has been completed.

• I accept Adoption Support through DCYF, which pays the first $55 of my counseling fee. You will be responsible for paying the rest of my fee. If you would like to receive Adoption Support, please bring your Preauthorization for Services form with you to your first session.

• I am unable to accept insurance for payment, but I can provide you with a monthly superbill.

• If you cannot attend a session, I require 24 hours of advance notice. The regular fee will be charged for all appointments canceled within 24 hours of the appointed time. If you are more than 15 minutes late to a session, the session will be canceled and charged as a no-show.

• I provide a free 20-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit.

• Your regular fee will be charged, on a prorated basis, for any additional professional services rendered at your request, such as phone contacts over 10 minutes and consultations with other professionals. Court time and related preparation will be billed at the rate of $150 per hour, including travel and wait time, even if I am called to testify by another party.

Online Payments

All my billing is handled through Simple Practice, a cloud-based web service that allows for document sharing, scheduling, and secure communication. Part of the intake process will involve saving a credit card on your secure client portal in Simple Practice. Billing will be processed at the end of each session.
